21 Vogue Editors’ Picks from the Common Threads Amazon Fashion Store

At Vogue, we’ve spent a lot of time recently thinking about our fall winter wardrobes. Maybe it’s because we’re presently all working from home and not going anywhere too special, but we find ourselves daydreaming about fun accessories and pretty dresses.

When Vogue, Amazon, and the CFDA announced the new Common Threads store on Amazon in May, that meant that suddenly some of our favorite American designers were available just two taps away—how tempting. 4 designers were recently added to the store: Claudia Li, Public School, Cynthia Rowley, and Aliétte. So, naturally, 21 Vogue editors combed through the new store and chose their favorite picks. It doesn’t hurt that many editors have seen these brands grow and have worked with the designers before, making the shopping trip a bit more personal. From cozy hoodies to statement handbags, elegant evening wear to Zoom-appropriate pajamas, there’s something for everyone and more than enough to satiate our daydreams. However, the store is closing at the end of September, so it’s our last chance to shop our favorites. Ahead, 21 Vogue editors share their top picks from the Amazon store.

Classic cable knits are having a cool comeback this fall and I find myself gravitating towards these chunky knits instead of my sleek cashmere sweaters which are usually my go-tos come fall. This oversized option by Claudia Li feels minimalist and classic while giving some added texture to my fall wardrobe staples, like trousers and boots.

I have dreamt of owning something from Jason Rembert’s Aliétte collection ever since I attended the label's first runway show a year ago. Seeing celebs like Kelly Rowland, Joan Smalls, and Regina King own red carpets in the brand’s jaw-dropping designs, which include sequins, cutouts, and sharp silhouettes, made me fall in love with the label even more.

I’m adding this dreamy hoodie from the Resort collection to my cart ASAP. It’s exactly what I’ll need to stay warm and cozy this fall. And that dreamy print will keep me looking cute during Zoom meetings.

I’m trying to incorporate brighter colors into my wardrobe. This romper is super cute and chic. Great for wearing at home during Zoom meetings, or can be dressed up in the spring and summer months. I feel like it’s a classic, staple piece. And the color is just a burst of joy!

I don’t wear dresses often, but when I do, fall is my favorite season to do so. Although a feminine sundress doesn’t really resonate with my wardrobe, twhis neutral yet thoughtfully-detailed t-shirt dress from Colovos is right up my alley. I love a romantic pastel frock for high summer, and this blushing ruched beauty from Anna Sui is calling my name. Of course, I’ll need a dainty floral face covering to match—Bonnie Young’s mask collab with Youkyung Woo looks like just the ticket!

Tommy Ton, the creative director of Deveaux, and I go back at least 12 years, when he started shooting street style for Style.com. He once told me, “everybody loves beautiful models, but it’s when there’s a personality behind it, that’s when the look comes to life.” He brings that appreciation for unstudied, unmanufactured style to his work at Deveaux. I am very much looking forward to the days I can take my lounging outdoors and trade sweatpants and slippers for swimsuits and sandals. I love the idea of mixing the feminine suit from Morgan Lane with the tougher 3.1 Phillip Lim platforms - even if I am the only one to see the result.

I have a few pairs of Brock Collection’s signature Wright jeans, but they’re so good that I’m eyeing this dark-wash pair, too. They’re quite literally the perfect jeans, at least to me. Mid-rise, straight leg, non-stretch, zero distressing—I always come back to them. (Also: They run a bit small, so size up!)
